ThirdEye AI Cam is a desktop-based Edge AI surveillance application designed for real-time threat detection without cloud dependency. It captures live webcam video and processes frames using the YOLOv8 object detection model. The system detects objects such as persons, cars, buses, trucks and motorcycles, highlights detected objects with bounding boxes and confidence scores, maintains detection history using SQLite, saves threat snapshots, displays FPS and threat count, and provides notifications and alarm alerts. A Tkinter-based dashboard allows users to start and stop the camera, monitor live detections, view recent threats and access detection history.
